Description:

In the field of market data studies, the support will be required to assist CLIENT in all activities related to the collection, management, analysis and reporting of ICT, Access to Digital Media and Postal Market Data. The individuals shall support for ensuring all practices, policies, and programs are in line with CLIENT's values and objectives, based on international best practice and relevant to laws and regulations applicable in Qatar.


STRATEGY:

  1. Support the formulation of CLIENT's corporate strategy.
  2. Lead the development and implementation of Market Data Study business plan in alignment with CLIENT's corporate strategy through departmental initiatives and projects.
  3. Develop and monitor implementation of Market Data Study's policies, procedures, processes, regulations and guidelines.
  4. Monitor performance of the Market Data Study vis-a-vis established KPls on a regular basis.
  5. Develop and monitor the annual budget for the Market Data Study section in collaboration with Regulation Affairs and Competition - Department Head.
 

OPERATIONAL - ANALYTICS AND REPORTING:

  1. Lead the development of data gathering strategies to ensure alignment with CLIENT's goals and objectives.
  2. Lead the development of required methodologies to conduct analytical studies which aid in understanding the assessment of anti-competitive behavior in Qatar.
  3. Oversee market research and preparations of required reports (e.g. market definition, dominance designation report, ITU reporting, operator reporting, UPU reporting, etc.)
  4. Lead liaisons with all stakeholders and other regional and international regulators as required.
  5. Lead the development of methodologies and practices that ensures the confidentiality of stored and reported data is not breached both internally (within CLIENT) and publically.

 
OPERATIONAL - DATABASE MANAGEMENT:

Oversee the management of the market information database and indicators of the markets that fall within the jurisdiction of the Authority.
